CAN, COULD, WOULD YOU…….?
a) CAN či COULD se obvykle používá, když se ptáte lidí na určité věci:
Could you wait a minute, please?
Can you speak English?
Do you think you could lend me some money?
Can I have the pepper, please?
b) Když o něco žádáte:
Peter, will you do me a favour?
May I come in?
c) Když něco nabízíte:
Can I get you another cup of coffee?
Can I help you?
Would you like to come with me?
COULD DO vyjadřuje přítomnost a COULD HAVE DONE minulost. COULD HAVE DONE se obvykle používá při zmínce o situacích, které mohly stát, ale nikdy nenastaly.
You could have borrowed my skis.
The situatuation was bad but it could have been worse.
I could have gone with you to Africa but I didn´t have enough money.
